Los amantes del hockey en mesa de aire que no conseguían enganchar a sus amigos a esta afición están de enhorabuena. Nuvation ha lanzado un brazo robótico capaz de competir con la destreza del jugador más aventajado en esta disciplina. Se acabó el sentirse solo en las salas recreativas.
Además se trata de un robot muy competitivo. De hecho, Nuvation asegura que su brazo mecánico puede ganar el 90 por ciento de los partidos jugados frente un humano. Para ello, tiene un sensor óptico que sigue el movimiento del disco sin mayor inconveniente. Claro, así cualquiera.
Aunque, como se aprecia en el video, el robot de Nuvation tiene su propio talón de Aquiles: el ataque. Mientras defendiendo es un as, pierde algo de destreza cuando le toca atacar. Aún así, este brazo robótico ganó el premio del público en la Freescale Technology Forum 2008 Americas. Y es que este jugador aventajado despierta pasiones.
